Isle of Daphna | Pani Gor Roleplay Guidelines

General Conduct

While on the Isle of Daphna, please maintain an in-character Gorean appearance and behavior at all times. Observer tags are not used — wear your meter to show your status and dress appropriately in Gorean or Pani clothing. You may observe for up to 10 minutes; if you are not here for role-play, please teleport out. Do not teleport into or out of ongoing RP scenes.

Role-Play Etiquette

Stay in character in local chat. Avoid OOC comments such as “brb,” “afk,” or “wb.” Use IMs for such messages. If you must step away, RP an exit, log out silently, or fade your character from the scene. RP is turn-based to allow fair response time for all participants.

Dock Area

The dock is a 10-minute safe zone where newcomers may read rules, obtain a meter, or browse vendors. After that, RP may begin at any time — the dock is not a permanent safe area.

Understanding Pani Gor

Please read about Pani Gor and become familiar with the culture before participating in RP. Helpful links are available on the sim’s information board and blog. By entering the Isle of Daphna or joining its groups, you acknowledge that you have read and accepted these rules.

Mature Themes

Role-play on this sim follows Gorean canon and may include violence, slavery, rape, torture, or death — all within the novels’ context. “No force collar,” “no nudity,” or other restrictive personal limits will not be honored. IC actions do not equal OOC intentions.

Alternate Accounts

The use of alternate accounts is discouraged unless approved by a moderator. If you require multiple characters for story reasons, please speak with the moderation team first.

Character Behavior

Do not take in-character conflict personally. Gorean RP may include tension or dominance, but persistent OOC rudeness or hostility will be treated as griefing and may result in removal. Arrogance and cruelty without purpose are not Pani virtues.

Homes & Privacy

A person inside their home is considered “out of sight.” Knock before entering private dwellings. Do not use your camera to spy inside others’ homes — doing so may result in a warning or ban. Temporary props or prims for RP are allowed but must be removed after the scene.

Creatures & Kurii

Animal avatars are not part of current RP on the Isle of Daphna. Kurii groups may not raid; only single Kur may engage in combat. Peaceful Kur are welcome for trade or storyline RP. All Kur arrivals must use the designated Kur dock teleport.

Free Women & Slaves

Free women of other home stones may visit but should RP with NPC guards if unaccompanied by a man. Unowned slaves or those wishing to integrate into the sim’s story should contact a moderator.

Death & Storylines

Permanent death may occur only after at least one hour of RP or as part of an ongoing storyline. Death through meter combat is only valid if consensual.

Inactivity Policy

Players inactive for three weeks will be removed from the main group. You may rejoin by leaving a notecard at the dock mailbox. Avatars under 30 days old may RP but will not be added to the main group.

Administrative Notice

The Isle of Daphna is a privately owned, adult-themed BTB Gorean/Pani RP sim. You must be 18 years or older and adult-verified to participate. Entry is a privilege, not a right, and may be revoked by the sim administrators at any time.

Moderators

The moderation team ensures fair play, enforces the rules, and assists with dispute resolution. Please respect their guidance and decisions.

Raid & Combat Information

All raids are currently prohibited while the Isle of Daphna’s storyline and community are still being established. Any planned attacks must first be discussed with a moderator or admin.

The Isle of Daphna is a meter-optional, melee-only sim using the GM (Gorean Meter). Bows and ranged weapons are not allowed. Quality role-play must precede any combat. “Draw on sight” attacks are invalid.

Combat Standards

• RP must be interactive and fair — no one-line or rushed emotes.
• Give others the chance to respond before acting.
• The moderation team will decide what qualifies as valid RP.
• Wearing a meter means you consent to combat.
• Removing, resetting, or detaching your meter implies self-capture (“auto-cap”).

Combat & Raid Limits

• No combat with visitors from GE or non-BTB sims. Violations result in ejection or ban.
• No female mercenaries, outlaws, or panthers.
• Free women may defend themselves with small hidden weapons such as kimono daggers or poisoned hairpins.
• Homes are private spaces — knock and allow RP responses before entering.
• “Touch-to-die” or griefing objects are forbidden.
• Entry to the Isle is only via the front gate; Kur may use their designated dock teleport.
• Stealing is valid only if documented in a notecard sent to moderators.

The Isle of Daphna is a place of honor, artistry, and discipline — a living reflection of the Pani way. Respect the culture, your fellow role-players, and the spirit of Gor, and you will find meaningful stories here.
